Remember the ITN thing I told you guys about? Well, I finally gave it a try. And I’m so glad to tell everyone that I made it! I got in! I passed the interview and the kitchen test! … obviously
Well in all honesty, I didn’t expect this to happen. Right after the interview I already told myself there’s a big chance that I’m not going to make it. At first I thought I prepared myself enough for the interview; I thought of answers for some of the possible questions ahead of time. But I think I focused on myself way too much, cause I only prepared answers to questions about myself, cause I was expecting for questions about myself. Myself, myself, myself, just myself. You know, usual questions during interviews; “Tell something about yourself.” “What are your strengths/weaknesses” “How do you handle stress” “What is your edge” “Why should we hire you” “How do you see yourself 5 years from now” blah blah blah. And just my luck, none of those was asked.
The questions were all kitchen-related. How could I not expect and prepare myself for those sort of questions?! It’s not like I’m a Culinary student applying for a job in the kitchen, right? Why would kitchen-related stuff be asked?!
Stupid self.
There was this one question I will definitely never forget; “What’s the type of food you do not want to eat?” I answered animals’ innards, followed with “And also rabbits… *smiles* because they are so cute I don’t want to eat them.” Seriously? You don’t want to eat rabbits because they are “SO CUTE”? Is that the most relevant reason you could think of? You could’ve just said you find the taste of rabbit meat strange, or strong, vile or anything.. not cute! Well on a lighter note, you didn’t pass out throughout the interview so good job, still! (Yes, I am talking to myself)
We went through the interview as a group. Awkward; for me and my friends could hear each other’s responses. Nakakahiya coz my answers to most questions were absurd (…rabbits) Yes, I went full retard. Anyway, I might have failed(?) the interview but I could say I’ve done my best and I did a good job during the kitchen test…. I think?
So I’ll be doing my internship at Sagamore hotel, New York this summer for six months. So glad and so blessed, thank You Lord very much! Congrats to my friends as well! We all did a great job!
PS: I really don’t find rabbits cute.

constantly i used to read smaller articles or reviews that as
well clear their motive, and that is also happening with this
paragraph which I am reading here.
hahaha…hmmm i wonder how much will be the expenses.is it a free internship and you only have to pay for the ticket?
